Your Role

As Scientific Director, you’ll take a strategic leadership role, ensuring excellence across scientific content, client engagement, and team performance. This is your chance to influence high-profile projects, drive quality and innovation, and guide your team to deliver world-class medical communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop scientific and editorial team members
• Ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to SOPs
• Provide strategic input across projects and therapeutic areas
• Build and maintain strong client relationships (including onsite/client meetings)
• Support financial planning and resource management
• Drive organic growth and identify new business opportunities
• Contribute to proposal development and pitch presentations

What We’re Looking For:

• PhD, PharmD, or MD
• 6+ years’ medical communications experience within an agency or pharma environment
• Proven track record leading scientific teams
• Extensive medical writing experience across diverse projects and therapy areas
• Strong understanding of strategic planning processes
• Confident client presenter with excellent communication skills
• Experience contributing to new business proposals/pitches preferred
• Line management, mentoring, and review experience
• Strong leadership and commercial awareness
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and relevant software
