We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of new electrical systems from concept through to production. This role offers a blend of design, validation, and hands-on testing within a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of electrical systems from concept through to final manufacture
- Undertake design validation through calculations and analysis to demonstrate compliance with requirements
- Liaise with test facilities, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to support project delivery
- Carry out hands-on testing, prototyping, and verification within an on-site test facility
- Produce and control engineering documentation including drawings, test documents, and bills of materials
Essential Skills and Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Strong understanding of electrical systems design, build, test, and commissioning
- Experience producing design and technical specifications
- Maritime or related industry experience (Advantageous – not essential)
