Overview
My client, a growing and highly respected wealth management firm, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join their Bournemouth office. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative and professional financial planning team, supporting advisers in delivering high-quality, compliant advice to clients.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the end-to-end financial planning process, providing technical expertise, research, and report writing to ensure outstanding client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed research and analysis across a range of financial products including pensions, investments, and protection solutions
- Prepare high-quality, compliant suitability reports and financial planning recommendations for advisers
- Assist advisers in formulating tailored financial strategies aligned to client objectives and risk profiles
- Carry out cashflow modelling and financial analysis to support client recommendations
- Ensure all advice and documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards (FCA requirements)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
- Liaise with advisers, providers, and internal teams to support efficient case progression
- Assist with the implementation of recommendations and follow-up actions
- Provide technical support and insight across complex client cases
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Paraplanner within a financial planning or wealth management environment
- Strong technical knowledge of financial products, pensions, investments, and tax planning
- Experience writing suitability reports to a high standard
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) essential (or working towards)
- Progression towards Chartered status desirable
