Design Manager | Humberside
Elevation’s Design & Projects team are working with a market-leading manufacturer to recruit a Design Manager to lead a site-based engineering team.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical authority with team oversight—ideal for a senior design professional ready to step up or an existing manager looking for more influence across engineering and manufacturing.
The role:
- Lead and coordinate a mechanical & structural design team
- Own technical delivery, approvals, and design sign-off
- Drive improvements across manufacturing, automation, and design processes
- Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and international teams
- Play a key role in product development and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in mechanical / structural design within manufacturing
- Advanced 3D CAD experience (parametric/configuration tools ideal)
- Experience with BOMs, ERP systems, and engineering change
- Previous leadership or senior-level design experience
- Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong stakeholder skills
