Are you an experienced Buyer with a background in category or brand control, looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership and make a commercial impact?
We're working with a dynamic, fast-growing business based in Harlow that is looking to bring an ambitious Buyer into their team. This is a hands-on role with real scope to influence product strategy, supplier relationships and category performance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of a defined product category or brand portfolio, driving performance and commercial outcomes
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships with a focus on negotiation and value delivery
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and pricing to inform buying decisions
- Planning and executing promotional activity across both retail stores and the website
- Working cross-functionally with Marketing to support campaigns and product launches
- Using data and Excel-based analysis, including pivot tables, to support forecasting, pricing and reporting
- Collaborating with the wider buying and commercial team to refine category strategies
What We're Looking For
- A Buyer with hands-on experience in category control or brand control, ideally gained within a retail environment
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate confidently and influence stakeholders
- Comfortable working at pace, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
