Senior Quantity Surveyor
Commercial & Residential Apartment Projects | Up to £40m
Our client, a well-established and growing construction contractor/developer, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The role will involve delivering commercial and residential apartment projects, with individual scheme values of up to £40 million.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure successful financial delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of commercial and residential projects up to £40m
- Preparation and management of cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Procurement of subcontractor packages, including tendering and negotiation
- Contract administration, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Regular cost reporting and risk management
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level
- Background in commercial and/or residential apartment developments
- Experience managing projects valued up to £40 million
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
- Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a wider team
