Project Manager – Solar / Renewable Energy (UK)

We are currently working with a leading client in the renewable energy sector who is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale solar projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic EPC environment, working on high-profile projects and playing a key role in delivering large-scale energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget
  • Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, design, finance, and site teams
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
  • Develop and manage detailed project programmes and track progress
  • Oversee budgets, cost control, and resource allocation
  • Manage subcontractor packages, RFQs, and contract administration
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and company procedures
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Support project handover to operations teams

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or similar
  • Proven experience delivering solar or renewable energy projects (EPC environment preferred)
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle and construction delivery
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of project planning tools (e.g. MS Project)
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous
