This position supports the Head of Risk in developing, embedding, and continuously improving the organisation’s risk management framework. The role plays a key part in identifying, assessing, and reporting risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with industry standards. It provides clear, commercially focused, forward-looking risk oversight to support strategic objectives and sits within the second line of defence.


This is a strong opportunity for either an experienced Risk Manager professional to further develop their career or a Analyst looking to step up into high performing and growing team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing the enterprise risk management framework
  • Promote risk awareness and support training initiatives across the business
  • Encourage strong risk ownership throughout all departments
  • Prepare and coordinate high-quality risk reports for internal committees and external stakeholders
  • Ensure clear and effective risk communication across the organisation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date risk and control registers
  • Ensure alignment with the evolving risk profile, including emerging risks
  • Facilitate RCSA processes across business areas
  • Ensure risks and controls are properly assessed, documented, and tested


Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven experience in risk management within the insurance or financial services sector
  • Strong understanding of key risk types and regulatory expectations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as prudential standards and solvency requirements
