VP - Real Estate Investment Banking

Job Description

This is an opportunity to join the Real Estate team in the London office of an international mid-market investment bank.

The role will involve advising clients across a range of real estate corporate finance mandates, including M&A, capital raising, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, recapitalisations and other capital structure advisory situations.

The job involves significant interpersonal interaction with both clients and investors in the preparation and presentation of business plans, information memoranda, investor materials and supporting financial analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to transaction execution, investor engagement and business development, while helping to deepen the team’s expertise across selected real estate sub-sectors.

Given the team’s existing experience in M&A execution, the role is particularly suited to someone who can also bring strong capabilities in real estate capital raising, joint venture structuring and broader capital stack advisory.

Role Requirements:

• 6-9 years of professional experience
• Existing affinity to the Real Estate sector, gained through academic and/or professional experience
• Prior involvement in multiple real estate transactions, ideally including M&A, capital raising, joint ventures, recapitalisations or structured investment processes
• Strong understanding of real estate capital structures, including equity, preferred equity, mezzanine debt, senior debt and joint venture arrangements
• Robust financial modelling, valuation and analytical skill set
• Ability to engage credibly with clients, investors, operators and capital providers
• Strong organisational skills
• Able to collaborate effectively within a team
• A self-starter with a positive outlook and can-do attitude
