We are seeking an experienced, highly organised DV‑cleared Executive Assistant to provide trusted support to a Director within a fast‑paced national security environment. This role is central to enabling effective decision‑making, ensuring smooth information flow, and coordinating activity across a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Director’s diary, inbox and workflow, ensuring priorities are understood and acted on quickly.
  • Coordinate programme‑wide commissions and responses, ensuring high‑quality material is delivered on time.
  • Support the planning and administration of all Director‑level meetings, including secure meetings, ensuring materials, notes and actions are handled appropriately.
  • Maintain oversight of risks, opportunities and programme performance across the directorate.
  • Use modern digital and collaboration tools to streamline communication and join up teams across the enterprise.
  • Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across government and partner organisations.
  • Manage administrative processes including expenses, purchase orders and registers.


Must have

  • Active DV clearance (mandatory) or current SC clearance with lapsed DV*


Required Experience

  • Strong experience supporting senior leaders in high‑pressure environments.
  • Excellent diary, inbox and meeting management skills.
  • Confident communicator able to give direction and manage competing priorities.
  • Highly organised, discreet and comfortable handling sensitive information.
  • Digitally proficient, with experience using collaboration and AI‑enabled tools.
  • Experience within National Security, Defence or secure government settings.
  • Experience coordinating events or senior engagements.
