Job Description:

People Manager – Global Design Practice | London

I’m currently working with a large, globally recognised design studio to appoint a People Manager for their London office.

This is a key hire for the business, someone who can operate as a true partner to leadership while owning and delivering impactful People initiatives across the full employee lifecycle.

Based in a vibrant London studio of 140+ staff, you’ll work closely with international teams across Copenhagen, Barcelona, and New York, while also supporting smaller offices in Riyadh and the UAE.

The role:

You’ll report directly to the Managing Director, line manage a People Assistant, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership balancing both strategic input and hands-on delivery.

Key focus areas include:

• Leading People strategy aligned to business goals

• Managing the full employee lifecycle

• Handling employee relations in line with best practice and ACAS guidelines

• Overseeing compliance across UK employment & immigration law

• Driving L&D initiatives and employee engagement

• Managing People data, metrics, and budgets

• Supporting global People initiatives across multiple regions

About you:

• Proven experience in a People/HR generalist role (ideally in a creative environment)

• CIPD Level 5 qualified (Level 7 preferred)

• Strong knowledge of UK employment law (UAE/KSA exposure a bonus)

• Data driven with the ability to influence stakeholders

• Highly organised, approachable, and confident communicator

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a design-led, collaborative, and internationally connected practice, where you’ll play a central role in shaping culture and performance.
