Interior Designer – Commercial Workplace D&B
£55,000 – £70,000 + Commission (£70,000 – £90,000 OTE) I Permanent I East London I Revit
This is a great opportunity for a designer who enjoys being hands-on creatively but also wants to be part of the bigger picture – contributing ideas, speaking with clients, and helping shape projects from the very start.
You’ll join a newly formed, close-knit pod that brings architecture and design & build together in one team. It’s a genuinely collaborative setup where projects are taken from concept through to delivery under one roof, working with high-profile clients who are open to bold, well-thought-through ideas.
The studio has a strong reputation for design-led work, and the pace is fast in a good way – lots of variety, plenty of opportunity to get involved, and a real chance to make an impact.
Responsibilities
- Developing strong, concept-driven design ideas from the outset
- Exploring layouts, materiality, storytelling, and overall spatial experience
- Translating early-stage ideas into clear, engaging visuals and narratives
- Contributing to pitches — helping shape how ideas are presented and sold
- Presenting design thinking to clients in a clear, confident way
- Collaborating closely with architects, delivery teams, and stakeholders
- Carrying the design intent through into detailed stages using Revit
Requirements
- Experience within a top AJ100 practice or renowned D&B studio
- A strong workplace portfolio that shows creative thinking, not just delivery
- Revit experience highly desirable
- Someone confident talking through their ideas and design decisions
- A collaborative, open approach to working with others
- Commercial awareness – understanding how design supports winning work
- Hospitality experience is a bonus, not essential
