Senior Health & Safety Consultant – Construction & Fit-Out

Location: London / Home Counties

Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 + benefits


About the Role:

We are supporting a leading consultancy in the appointment of a Senior Health & Safety Consultant to deliver expert H&S support across a portfolio of main contractor, interior and fit-out projects.


This role offers the opportunity to work closely with high-profile clients, providing both strategic and site-level support across fast-paced construction and refurbishment environments.

You will act as a trusted advisor, helping to drive compliance, improve standards and embed a positive safety culture across multiple projects.


The Key Responsibilities of the Senior Health & Safety Consultant:


  • Provide H&S advisory support to main contractors, interior and fit-out clients
  • Undertake site inspections, audits and assurance activities across live projects
  • Support the development and review of RAMS and construction phase documentation
  • Deliver CDM advisory services where required
  • Lead incident investigations and support corrective action implementation
  • Deliver training, briefings and toolbox talks to site teams
  • Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement across H&S systems and performance


The Senior Health & Safety Consultant will have:


  • Proven experience in a H&S advisory or consultancy role within construction or fit-out environments
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and UK H&S legislation
  • Experience working with main contractors and managing multiple project interfaces
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
  • NEBOSH qualified (Diploma preferred)
  • Ideally working towards or holding CMIOSH
