Duties as Maintenance Fitter:

  • Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across all plant machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults to minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards.
  • Repair and replace faulty components using welding, mechanical knowledge, and experience.
  • General repairs throughout the factory.

Requirements:

  • Time-served Engineer with a recognised apprenticeship or relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours work when required.
