I'm partnering with a highly regarded, multi-disciplinary consultancy that is seeking a Director of Transport Planning to establish and lead its Cambridge Transport Planning capability. This is a senior leadership appointment driven by sustained growth within the Development Planning division and represents a key strategic hire for the business.
Reporting into the national Transport Planning leadership, you'll take on a highly influential role – setting up and growing a new Cambridge-based Transport Planning team, leading major development projects, developing talent, and driving business growth across the capital. You'll also work closely with established Transport Planning teams in other UK offices, sharing expertise, resources, and best practice.
You'll lead a diverse portfolio of development-led transport planning projects across the South East, including residential, commercial, education, retail, leisure, and renewable energy schemes. In parallel, you'll play a central role in building the Cambridge team from the ground up, shaping regional strategy, and strengthening relationships with key clients, local authorities, and internal stakeholders.
This is a rare opportunity to shape and lead a new Transport Planning function in Cambridge within a respected consultancy that offers genuine autonomy, strong national support, and ambitious growth plans – ideal for a Director ready to make a long-term strategic impact.
