Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Leeds – Hybrid / Flexible
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Benefits Package
Fruition IT are working with a well‑established tech‑first business who are embarking on a complete technical transformation. This client is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Software Engineer to work on a bespoke software platform as part of the business growth.
Responsibilities
The Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing a SaaS product, enhancing features and the developing API's / Microservices. You will be a senior member of the team and leading on technical direction and supporting other more junior members of the team.
What will I be doing?
- Developing backend software in PHP into a high load environment
- Develop API's / Microservices
- Turn concepts and requirements into a bespoke software platform.
- Work closely with the agile teams to meet software deliverables.
- Support continuous integration to enhance deployment.
- Performing code reviews
- Working in an AWS environment
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years as a Backend Engineer.
- Experience of PHP Frameworks Laravel / Symfony
- Cloud exposure, ideally in AWS but Azure or GCP is also fine.
- Experience of RDBMS – MySQL.
- Knowledge in microservices and REST APIs.
