About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at EKC Ashford College for a Programme Director (aka Course Leaders) of IT and Digital Technologies. This is predominantly a teaching role, with the expectation to support development of the curriculum area.

You’ll be teaching, supporting and assessing students coursework.

As a Programme Director you will plan a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum to meet the local/regional skills requirements and the needs of the student, in liaison with the department leadership team to support outstanding progression for students.

You will also lead and coordinate the delivery team so all students receive up-to-date course information during their time at college. You’ll create course/programme activities to support student understanding of the objectives, assessment schedules and requirements in line with awarding body criteria, including the course handbook.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership for IT and digital programmes, ensuring a curriculum that is engaging, inclusive, and aligned to the evolving demands of the digital sector.

Central to this role is a commitment to placing learners at the heart of the curriculum, ensuring they are supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their full potential.

This is the ideal opportunity for a proven teacher or lecturer to progress their career to the next stage as you will oversee the curriculum provision from the beginning, building relationships with key stakeholders as well as delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment.

It is a requirement for teaching experience and to hold a recognised teaching qualification for this position.
