The Accountancy & Finance Division is exclusively partnering with a reputable and established company in the education sector in recruiting an experienced Finance Business Partner.

Working as part of a central finance function, this role offers the opportunity to partner closely with senior leaders across multiple sites, providing meaningful financial insight that supports better decision-making and long-term sustainability. You will play a key role in translating financial data into clear, actionable guidance while helping to drive efficiency and value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior leaders with budget setting, monitoring and management
  • Produce forecasts and scenario modelling to inform strategic decisions
  • Deliver monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary
  • Provide clear, non-technical financial insight to stakeholders
  • Analyse financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Support procurement processes to ensure compliance and value for money
  • Oversee financial aspects of contracts, tenders and high-value spend
  • Contribute to cost‑saving initiatives through centralisation and efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls and regulatory requirements
  • Support capital projects including planning, monitoring and reporting
  • Assist with business cases and funding applications
  • Promote consistent use of financial systems and processes
  • Build strong working relationships with operational and leadership teams
  • Collaborate with HR and operational teams on workforce and budget planning

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in budget management, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, analysis and management accounting
  • Ability to present financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders
  • Experience working in a customer‑focused or stakeholder‑driven environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical ability
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines independently
  • Good IT and systems skills
