Senior Mechanical Engineer – Bristol (Hybrid)
We're partnering with a global engineering leader in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment sector to find a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take a key technical role in the design and delivery of complex, high‑performance systems used in advanced manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Leading technical delivery of mechanical engineering across complex projects and subsystems
- Driving best practice mechanical design (DfX: DFM, DFA, maintainability, etc.)
- Supporting and guiding engineering work packages across cross‑functional teams
- Ensuring designs meet requirements, standards, compliance, and safety expectations by design
- Acting as a technical role model, supporting junior engineers and improving consistency/quality
- Contributing to delivery through milestones into production and volume manufacturing
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong background in mechanical design / product development
- Advanced 3D & 2D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, etc.)
- Strong understanding of DfX principles and engineering best practice
- Experience working in regulated / high‑integrity engineering environments (semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, etc. desirable)
- Ability to translate requirements into robust, production‑ready engineering solutions
