Salary: £32 – £37k (depending on experience)

Hi-Spec Motorsport is a small, family-run British engineering company specialising in high-quality custom brake kits and precision performance parts for road cars, classic cars, race cars and kit cars.

This is not a high-volume warehouse or production-line job. We make small batches (often just 1–20 parts) on expensive CNC machines. Every job is different — you’ll be setting up tooling and jigs, test-proving new parts, and seeing a real finished component go from raw metal to a beautifully engineered brake kit that ends up on some incredible cars. It’s proper engineering work where you can be creative, take real responsibility, and see the direct results of your skill and care.

We’re looking for someone with a few years of practical workshop or mechanical experience (CNC, fabrication, fitting, maintenance or similar) who wants more than just “a job”. If you’re the type who enjoys solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in getting every detail right, this could be a genuine long-term career move.

What you’ll be doing day‑to‑day

  • Operating and setting up CNC machines (machining centres, lathes, saws)
  • Loading/unloading jobs safely and efficiently
  • De‑burring, finishing and quality‑checking parts to a high standard
  • Helping with small-batch production of custom brake components
  • General workshop duties (tooling, jigs, coolant/slideway maintenance, keeping the area tidy)

Full training and support will be given, but the right person will already have solid hands‑on mechanical experience and a real interest in engineering or cars.

What we offer

  • Competitive pay with room to grow
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Long-term career in a small, friendly team where your input genuinely matters
  • Free on‑site parking
  • The satisfaction of making high‑quality, cool parts that enthusiasts love

If you’re reliable, proactive, hardworking and looking for a role where you can develop real engineering skills in a supportive family business, we’d love to hear from you.
