Senior Engineer – Stealth (Testing & Trials)

Location: Barrow‑In‑Furness, 5 days per week onsite.

Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in helping submarines meet stringent stealth performance goals. Your responsibilities will include:

Core Duties

• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide critical noise & vibration data that influences design decisions.
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers within our growing team.
• Conducting equipment condition‑based monitoring and diagnostics assessments (ISO 18436).
• Effectively communicating and coordinating teams.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement in technical tasks.
• Challenging traditional approaches with an innovative mindset.
• Adapting positively to changes in a dynamic environment.

Essential Skills

• A strong STEM background (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
• Proficiency in at least one acquisition software (e.g., Siemens LMS, HBK Connect) or experience in rotating machinery commissioning/instrumentation.
• The ability to discuss technical findings with stakeholders from various technical backgrounds.
• In‑depth knowledge of noise and vibration measurement techniques and data analysis.

We also provide relocation support for all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
