A well-established, privately owned residential developer delivering high-quality traditional housing and low-rise apartment schemes across the South East is looking to appoint a Senior Architectural Technologist to strengthen its in-house technical team based in Croydon.
This is a key role focused on technical design development, construction detailing and consultant coordination across multiple live sites.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for progressing schemes from planning approval through to construction issue, ensuring technical compliance, buildability and programme alignment.
Developing planning drawings into fully coordinated working drawing packages
Producing and reviewing detailed construction information
Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC and warranty provider standards
Coordinating external architects and consultants
Managing condition discharge and supporting planning amendments
Liaising with structural, civil and M&E engineers
Resolving technical queries during construction
Supporting value engineering and cost-effective detailing
Attending design and site meetings as required
You will play a central role in reducing site queries and ensuring robust, buildable solutions are delivered first time.

Phased multi-plot sites
Experienced Architectural Technologist within UK residential development
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and NHBC standards
Confident producing detailed construction drawings
Experience working for a housebuilder or residential developer preferred
Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit advantageous)
Strong coordination and communication skills
Chartered (MCIAT) desirable but not essential
Salary: £55,000–£60,000
