CroBio is an innovative biotechnology company developing next-generation microbial soil amendments that improve drought resilience, nutrient efficiency, and soil health. Based at Alderley Park, we’re seeking a motivated Lab Technician to join our growing scientific team.
As a Lab Technician at CroBio, you will play a key role in supporting our R&D efforts by maintaining a well-organised and efficient laboratory environment. You will assist with media preparation, routine microbiological and molecular biology procedures, and general lab maintenance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an applied research setting and grow within a fast-moving biotech startup.
Support experiments in microbiology and molecular biology. Perform routine laboratory procedures following standard operating protocols. Maintain accurate records and ensure lab equipment is kept clean and functional. Contribute to general lab organisation and stock management.
BSc in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field (MSc a plus). Strong practical lab skills and attention to detail. Basic knowledge of microbiological and molecular biology techniques. Right to work in the UK and ability to start immediately. Must be within a commutable distance to Alderley Park and hold a valid UK driving licence. Skills in bioinformatics and programming are a bonus but not essential.
