You’ll be involved in interpreting technical drawings, understanding rail access requirements, managing interfaces across multiple disciplines, and ensuring project programmes are developed and maintained to the highest standards.

As a Planning Engineer, you will support the planning and delivery of high-profile projects, working closely with experienced professionals across a range of disciplines to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
• Review and interpret technical drawings to produce accurate and achievable schedules
• Understand and coordinate rail access requirements and associated project constraints
• Manage and coordinate interfaces across multiple disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
• Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and support mitigation strategies
• Assist with reporting, programme updates, and project controls processes
• Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to support efficient delivery
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice planning methodologies

Candidate

• Min 2–5 years’ planning experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or rail
• Proficiency in Primavera P6
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical information confidently
• Understanding of rail access and multidisciplinary project interfaces
• Some site-based experience is highly desirable
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
