About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team supporting production operations within a secure, high-performance environment. This role involves a combination of planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and equipment installation, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency. The successful candidate will operate in a customer-facing capacity, often working independently as the on-site engineering representative.


Responsibilities

  • Perform planned servicing and maintenance of production equipment
  • Carry out reactive fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
  • Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
  • Ensure safe and compliant working practices at all times
  • Maintain accurate repair logs and complete all required documentation
  • Manage spare parts stock and inventory movements
  • Provide clear handovers to production operators following maintenance or repair
  • Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer specifications and relevant regulations


Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering


Required Skills

  • Proven experience in electrical fault finding, including single-phase systems
  • Strong mechanical maintenance experience (motors, gears, bearings, encoders, clutches, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of control systems (highly desirable)
  • Ability to work independently in a secure, customer-facing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to safety


Preferred Skills

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of DOS systems (advantageous but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines
