Project Engineer – Gas Sector

We’re partnering with a leading organisation in the gas sector to recruit a Project Engineer to support the delivery of technically complex gas infrastructure projects across the UK.

This is a hands-on role offering full project lifecycle exposure — from feasibility and design through to installation, commissioning and handover. Reporting into the Head of Engineering, you’ll play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and commercially.


The role

  • Deliver end-to-end gas infrastructure projects, including installations
  • Manage project plans, budgets and programmes
  • Produce and review engineering designs, calculations and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with UK gas standards, safety legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee site installation, commissioning and testing activities
  • Provide technical input to bids, proposals and stakeholder reporting
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and regulatory bodies


About you

  • Project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM) or equivalent experience
  • Background in project engineering within gas, oil & gas, LPG or related sectors
  • Strong understanding of gas flow systems and associated technologies
  • Proficient with CAD, MS Project and engineering software
  • Confident communicator with strong reporting skills
  • Willing to travel nationally with a full UK driving licence
