Non-Executive Director Board Members – Volunteer

Overview

We are Theatre Without Walls, a national theater that creates extraordinary contemporary theatre in Scotland. We are looking for two new Non‑Executive Directors who share our passion for theatre and the arts and who will help shape our strategic direction, artistic programme and governance.

What We’re Looking For

• Professional experience in financial management or safeguarding (or related governance experience).
• Strong empathy with the National Theatre of Scotland’s mission and a portfolio of skills that complements the existing Board.
• Ability to work collaboratively across the board, supporting the company’s financial health, governance, and strategic communications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in board meetings to provide strategic and financial guidance.
• Work with the board to develop and sustain the artistic programme at home and internationally.
• Help diversify revenue, optimise commercial and financial guidance, and maximise the board’s strategic communications.
• Support the governance requirements of a rapidly changing landscape, including leveraging technology to extend programming and reach.
• Ensure Board decisions reflect the diversity of the audience and community served.
