Overview
Programme Director (Course Leaders) – IT and Digital Technologies at EKC Ashford College. The role is primarily teaching with responsibilities for curriculum development and leadership of the delivery team.
Responsibilities
- Teach, support, and assess students’ coursework.
- Plan a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum aligned with local/regional skills requirements, awarding body criteria, and student needs.
- Lead and coordinate the delivery team to ensure all students receive up-to-date course information.
- Create programme activities that support student understanding of objectives, assessment schedules, and requirements.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for IT and digital programmes, ensuring an engaging, inclusive, and evolving curriculum.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and oversee curriculum provision from the beginning.
- Deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment.
Qualifications
- Extensive teaching experience in IT and Digital Technologies.
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong focus on delivering an outstanding learner experience.
- Experience in curriculum development and educational leadership.
Salary & Benefits
Program Director positions have two salary scale points. All new appointments start at the introductory scale point, with the possibility of progressing to the higher scale after one full academic year, subject to approval. Internal applicants may qualify for the higher scale.
