- The appointed solicitor will represent clients in a wide range of criminal matters, including police station attendance, Magistrates' Court and Crown Court work, providing clear legal advice, advocacy, case preparation.
- You will handle key case administration including correspondence, negotiations, time recording and billing, ensure Legal Aid Agency compliance, stay updated on legal developments, and undertake supervision or out:of:hours work where required.
- Applications are open to candidates with strong communication skills, excellent problem solving skills, and the capacity to prioritise, with experience working to targets and high level IT proficiency.
- You will be a qualified legal professional with experience in Legal Aid Portal and funding procedures; privately funded work experience, Police Station Accreditation, and Duty Solicitor status are desirable.
- The firm offers a competitive salary and 25 days of holiday entitlement, increasing to 28 days after three years and 30 days after five years.
