A leading independent prep school in Hertfordshire is seeking a Head of Design and Technology for September 2026. The school prepares children for entry into leading independent senior schools, prides itself on academic excellence and pupil pastoral care, and has a reputation for encouraging pupils to be confident, happy and successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Design and Technology department, inspiring and motivating staff.
- Teach DT to students from Year 5 to Year 8.
- Develop and implement curriculum and teaching strategies appropriate for primary and secondary levels.
- Possibly lead outdoor learning activities alongside DT responsibilities.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate DT within the broader school curriculum.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience teaching Design and Technology at primary and/or secondary level.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for designing and implementing innovative learning experiences.
