Finance & Operations Director
Hybrid working: 3 days at home 2 days in office or meetings
Our client is looking for a senior finance leader to join a national membership body. A strong fit for a qualified accountant with broad corporate services oversight and confidence operating at Board level.
Key Focus Areas
Financial Leadership
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and audit across the group.
- Ensure financial sustainability, commercial discipline and effective revenue monitoring.
- Oversee investments, reserves strategy, risk management, KPIs and management information.
- Maintain compliant, efficient company structures, contracts and financial controls.
Operations & Corporate Strategy
- Drive operational planning and cross‑directorate coordination.
- Support strategic planning and new business initiatives.
- Lead organisational performance, cultural change and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure robust due diligence and compliance across all trading activities.
Corporate Services Oversight
- Oversee HR, EDI, governance, membership support, business continuity and property strategy.
- Act as Company Secretary and Data Protection Officer, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Lead contract management, supplier performance and service delivery.
Ideal Background
- Fully qualified accountant with strong commercial and strategic acumen.
- Proven experience leading finance and corporate services in a similar‑sized organisation.
- Confident operating at Board level and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong change management, analytical and organisational capability.
