The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) is recruiting Head of Department of Academic Research, based in London, United Kingdom.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction for IIS’s research in Islamic Studies, with focus on Ismaili, Shi‘i, and Qur’anic Studies, lead research programmes, mentor faculty, and build international collaborations.
The candidate will have an outstanding academic profile, with extensive senior academic leadership and administrative experience, a publication record, and exceptional multidisciplinary expertise in the Humanities and Islamic Studies.
Fluency in Arabic is a strong desirable, as is ability to conduct research in the languages germane to scholarship in Islamic Studies.
