Technical Services Manager

Technical and Operational Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day responsibility for the development, configuration, and support of server and infrastructure systems.
• Develop, install, and customise application software and systems.
• Ensure comprehensive technical documentation is produced and maintained for all supported systems.
• Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery planning, and cyber resilience initiatives.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practice, including digital and cyber‑security developments.

Service Management and Customer Focus

• Ensure timely and professional communication with users regarding incidents, changes, and service impacts.
• Escalate issues appropriately and ensure service risks are identified, managed, and mitigated.
• Maintain Trust‑wide ICT standards to support safe, effective, and high‑quality patient care.

Project and Change Management

• Lead and contribute to ICT projects, ensuring alignment with Trust priorities and user requirements.
• Work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet clinical and business objectives.
• Prepare presentations and technical briefings for users and stakeholders as required.

Leadership, Governance, and Compliance

• Support and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and Trust obligations, including information governance, health and safety, and risk management.
• Promote equality, diversity, safeguarding, and infection prevention policies in line with Trust standards.
• Participate in appraisal, training, and professional development activities, supporting both personal and team growth.
