Senior Structural Engineer (perm or contract)

• Technical execution and delivery of projects using technical expertise and experience in engineering, design and any validated associated software.

Accountability, roles and responsibilities

• The post holder will report to their Engineering Director/Manager for the execution of technical work, supported by the Human Resources Manager for all non‑technical aspects of working;
• Communicate with all interested parties on all matters relating to the delivery of a specific job;
• Perform day‑to‑day duties to the best of their ability and in compliance with HSEQ processes and procedures;
• Any other delegated content as instructed under the direction of their line manager.

Duties

• Support business development effort by engaging with existing and potential clients to generate leads and enquiries under the direction of line management;
• Execute engineering projects, design and analysis as required by clients and all interested parties, complying with client processes and procedures;
• Perform all engineering duties in compliance with applicable legislation, codes, standards, and client quality control and administration procedures;
• Produce engineering proposals, schedules and reports in accordance with project commitments, as required by clients and all interested parties;
• Report and meet with clients and all interested parties on a project basis under suitable guidance;
• Provide mentorship and continuing professional development support to less experienced engineers;
• Work will normally be performed at offices but may require client office or offshore locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
