Position Overview
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Chemical and Biological Treatment division on a permanent basis as part of an in‑house multidisciplinary design team. The role involves leading projects from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards with a focus on low‑carbon solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
- Develop design deliverables.
- Complete checking and approval processes.
- Arrange procurement of goods and services.
- Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
- Assemble contract works information documents.
- Consider project health, safety, quality and environmental matters.
- Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
- Implement project change control and programme requirements.
- Take responsibility as design lead on allocated projects.
Qualifications
- Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary design team.
- Experience at all design stages is highly desirable.
- Design management experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.
- Full UK driving licence.
