Contracts Manager – Kitchens & Bathrooms
Our client is a national maintenance and refurbishment provider with over 1,000 employees and multiple UK offices. They are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to manage a long‑term programme of kitchen and bathroom refurbishments for a local authority across occupied residential properties, covering the East Anglia region only. The organisation focuses on social housing and planned works.
The Role
This role offers continuity of workload, long‑term client engagement and the opportunity to lead multiple work streams within a structured, framework‑driven environment, specifically focused on internal refurbishments including kitchens and bathrooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of multiple planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes, with individual project values up to £3m.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Oversee installation works including kitchen units, worktops, appliances, bathroom suites, tiling, plumbing, electrical, ventilation and finishing trades.
- Lead, support and develop site management, supervisory and resident liaison teams.
- Manage works within occupied homes, ensuring minimal disruption and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain strong working relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders.
- Attend progress meetings and undertake site visits as required.
- Oversee valuations, variations, cost reporting and commercial performance.
- Support estimating, tender submissions and forward planning.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, statutory and contractual requirements.
- Maintain accurate reporting, documentation and governance processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager within planned works or social housing refurbishment.
- Strong background in kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes.
- Experience working in occupied properties.
- Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical and finishing trades.
- Contract administration, estimating and commercial control.
- Health & safety regulations (CDM).
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to deliver programmes to tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Relevant construction qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or equivalent); SMSTS preferred.
- Willing to undergo a DBS check.
Salary and Benefits
