- Pay rate: Up to £275 per day PAYE, Umbrella options available
- Location: Hinkley Point
- Hours of work: 40 hours per week, 5 days
Responsibilities
- Provide substantial support services, ensuring stakeholder needs are considered within safety, quality, time and cost parameters for the HPC construction project.
- Give technical input and advice for procurement, planning, implementation and operation of key contract areas.
- Act as project point of contact and liaise with local authority for control and removal of GRT community incursions across the AD site portfolio.
- Develop, review and update policies, procedures and standard operating procedures on safety and operations across AD sites.
- Prepare detailed specifications to support procurement and implementation of infrastructure or real‑estate arrangements.
- Ensure safe facilities for Tier 1 contract partner staff, enabling safe travel to and from the HPC main construction site.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all AD site matters related to passenger transport and parking activity.
- Conduct planned and reactive monthly health and safety and engagement inspections and meetings to support AD operations.
- Carry out emergent tasks as directed by the Passenger Transport Service Manager.
- Manage day‑to‑day provision of critical site support service to a construction workforce of approximately 16,000.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, site and AD operational and health and safety controls.
- Build effective relationships with service contract partners and champions, maintaining alignment with core project values.
- Verify the competence of partner teams and report any shortfalls to the Service Manager promptly.
- Develop and implement plans to meet or exceed delivery expectations and the project work schedule.
- Intervene early to prevent escalation of issues, applying a one‑team approach.
Required Qualifications
- Recent and relevant in‑depth knowledge and experience in a service‑supply environment.
- Management or leadership experience in a service‑lead environment.
- Experience working within a controlled‑access, high‑security environment.
- Confidence and ability to deliver a positive effect in a dynamic, fluctuating environment.
- Willingness to learn from own and others’ experiences during successes and failures.
- Proven technical experience within a large project environment demonstrating logistics and facilities management.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of establishing, developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Confidence and willingness to work cooperatively with local supply‑chain partners.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in a related subject.
- Experience with budget preparation and management.
- Recognised and certificated Behavioural Safety Programme.
- Recent IOSH accreditation or equivalent.
- Results‑oriented, team‑player mindset, capable of managing emergency issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
