Job Overview
Contracts Manager / Estimator needed for a family‑run contractor specializing in hygienic wall cladding and internal surface solutions across healthcare, education, food production and commercial environments. The role is a dual‑responsibility position combining pre‑construction and project delivery duties.
Location
Harrogate (office‑based) with UK‑wide travel required as project demands.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source new tender opportunities alongside incoming enquiries.
- Prepare and submit detailed quotations and tender submissions.
- Manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors across multiple projects.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and timelines.
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with quality, safety, and client expectations.
- Maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in estimating and/or contracts/project management within construction or interiors.
- Experience sourcing and identifying tender opportunities.
- Ability to prepare detailed quotations and manage project costs.
- Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
- Ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors effectively.
- Commercially aware with strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
- Self‑motivated with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
