Their expertise is within the treatment of contaminated soil and groundwater using a variety of chemical and biological processes; however they also offer a full package including demolition and site re‑grading. Our client has worked on various sites including petro‑chemical refineries, military sites, landfills and petrol stations, to name just a few and has several new and refurbished offices throughout the UK. About the opportunity

Based upon current and anticipated workload, my client is recruiting permanently for a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for delivering earthworks‑based remediation projects across the UK with values ranging up to £7M. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead the successful delivery of remediation projects, ensuring commercial performance and health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and take ownership of larger, high‑risk complex projects with values up to £7M.
• Manage 2–3 projects simultaneously across different locations, demonstrating excellent organisation and sound judgement.
• Ensure commercial performance and health and safety compliance.
• Operate effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in a construction related discipline (geology, civil engineering or similar).
• Minimum of 10 years’ contracting experience within the remediation/contaminated land sector, gained whilst working for a contractor in the UK.
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• In‑depth knowledge of NEC3/JCT contracts.
• Chartered or working towards chartered status.
• Willingness to travel UK‑wide and hold a full UK driving licence.

Benefits and rewards

Target remuneration of £75,000 – £82,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability. A generous package includes a car allowance, subsistence for working away, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private health care, enrolment in a pension scheme, paid volunteering days, and coverage of professional membership fees.
