Parts Department Manager – Construction Machinery
Location: ChesterfieldSalary: £38,000-£45,000 DOE + BenefitsHours: Mon-Thu 8:00-4:30, Fri 8:00-3:30Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Parts Department Manager to join a well‑established construction machinery business in Chesterfield. This is a key leadership role overseeing the full parts operation, including procurement, stock control, customer service, and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement, suppliers, and stock levels
- Oversee distribution and ensure timely delivery of parts
- Lead and develop the parts team
- Handle customer enquiries and build strong relationships
- Manage order processing, returns, and invoicing
- Monitor KPIs and drive performance improvements
- Maintain pricing, promotions, and online parts platforms
- Support business growth and identify cost‑saving opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ staff management experience
- Strong background in spare parts management (construction machinery ideal)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities
- Technical understanding of machinery and components
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce, or Syncron is a bonus
