Position Description
At CGI, you will contribute to the design and delivery of secure, high‑performance infrastructure that underpins mission‑critical systems across the Space, Defence and Intelligence sector.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will help shape resilient cloud and on‑premise environments that enable innovation, strengthen security, and deliver real‑world impact. Working alongside industry partners and expert teams, you will take ownership of complex infrastructure challenges, apply creative solutions, and develop your career within a collaborative and supportive environment focused on excellence.
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be based on a site near London, five days a week.
Future Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, build and support secure infrastructure solutions across cloud and on‑premise environments.
- Deploy and configure compute, storage and networking solutions to meet client needs.
- Integrate and support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimise system performance, availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in complex environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver solutions.
- Report and communicate system status, risks and technical updates to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in infrastructure engineering across compute, storage and networking.
- Strong proficiency in systems administration within enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Experience working in cloud or virtualised environments.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies.
- Proven ability in troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Exposure to container technologies, automation or scripting (desirable).
- Understanding of secure environments and compliance requirements (advantageous).
