Apply for the IT Support Engineer
Location: Bristol
Job Description:

Ensera Design is a consultancy specialising in medical and consumer health sectors. We are currently seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our team in the Bristol office.

In this role you will report directly to and work alongside the Head of IT to provide ongoing IT support to the design and product development business, while also contributing to wider group projects as needed.

Occasional travel to other Ensera locations, including Ireland, Poland, and the USA, may be required and some projects could involve evening or weekend work.

About you

Your role is to keep our team up and running, so a people-focused, rapid-response attitude is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information in clear, everyday terms are vital.

You know how to prioritise requests and issues pragmatically as they come in, using your technical knowledge to swiftly diagnose and resolve problems, all while communicating openly and managing expectations effectively.

You’ll sometimes work independently and at other times collaborate with members of Ensera’s wider IT team, so having an open-minded and cooperative approach is crucial.

Your attention to detail is exceptional, whether it’s following policies and processes or creating project documentation and training guidelines.

Your skills and experience

Whilst you do not need to meet all of these points, please ensure you meet the majority of them before applying.

  • Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Windows 11 OS, Microsoft 365 apps, and cloud services (Azure AD, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Experience supporting on-premises hardware, servers, and services.

  • Experience in collaborating with external service providers to resolve complex issues and deliver projects.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement in IT projects and systems.
  • Experience in deploying, configuring, and testing new software, hardware, and IT infrastructure.
  • Skilled in creating user guides, technical documentation, and training colleagues on systems and applications.
  • Expertise in data migration with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Proven ability to provide training on common IT issues, new systems, and security best practices.
  • Solid understanding of data protection regulations and security best practices.
  • Tracking and managing IT assets, ensuring up-to-date records.
  • Experience in any of the following areas would be extremely desirable.
  • Working within the creative, pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
  • SolidWorks PDM.
  • Apple device support, especially MDM software such as Jamf or Mosyle.
  • Ubuntu Linux.
  • PowerApps/Power BI.

The salary for this role is £30,000 to £35,000, commensurate with the experience of the successful candidate. Please note we ask you to provide your expected salary within the band as part of your application – this helps us understand how you view your experience against the role’s scope.
