About the Role
Network Engineer to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3, located at RAF Mildenhall, UK.
Responsibilities include maintaining Network Operations (NetOps), systems and network infrastructure, end‑user and common device support, configuration, change, license, and asset management; conducting training; and performing Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) services. The position provides support 24/7/365.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN)
- Triaging malware, LAN, WAN, VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems
- Providing troubleshooting of enterprise WAN/MAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluating the effect of architectural changes on the network
- Troubleshooting LAN voice and data networks and evaluating the effect of architectural changes on them
- Assessing business and application requirements for corporate data and voice networks
- Planning, designing, and upgrading network installation projects
- Establishing and maintaining backup, version‑control, and malware defense systems
- Troubleshooting network architectures and recommending system fixes and enhancements
- Making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs
- Monitoring network performance, proactively making recommendations for improvement and resolving potential problems
- Ensuring proper tracking and documentation of all program assets, adhering to government procedures and industry standards
- Interfacing with government personnel and customers to convey project status and ensure smooth coordination and communication
- Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non‑standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
- CCNP Certification
Compensation and Benefits
Target Salary Range: $104,000 – $166,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including scope and responsibilities, individual experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and business and contract considerations. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
