Responsibilities

  • Plan, Design and Implement network solutions to meet customer business requirements.
  • Be a Technical Lead for delivery of customer network projects.
  • Ensure Change Control and other mandatory processes are adhered to.
  • Ensure all work is risk‑assessed with the production and maintenance of H&S compliant documentation (RAMs and Point of Works Risk Assessment).
  • Where required undertake hands‑on build activity to stage, commission and install new network equipment.
  • Produce customer site and solution network documentation.
  • Monitor progress of activities within each project; providing regular updates to management and key stakeholders.
  • Management and coordination of 3rd party suppliers.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to pre‑sales activity.
  • Ensure technical knowledge is kept up to date and make recommendations to changes in customer technical standards.
  • Work co‑operatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team and organisational objectives.

  • Load Balancers
  • F5 BIG‑IP iSeries
  • Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)
  • Cisco 6248UP Fabric Interconnect
  • Security
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Cisco Meraki MX
  • SDWAN and software defined networks.
  • Have practical and theoretical experience of routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP.

Who you are

  • Have experience of working with (configuring and implementing) predominantly Cisco and Meraki LAN and WLAN solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Have extensive field experience including cabling and installation of networking equipment.
  • Be a self‑motivated individual with the ability to develop strong customer relationships as well as functioning in a team environment.
  • Full SC Security Clearance or the ability to obtain.
  • Project Management experience is advantageous.
  • Experience of working in a construction environment (including CCNSG Certification) is desired but not mandatory.
