Overview
The Role: We’re working with an award-winning, design-led and sustainability-focused architecture practice that is looking to appoint a Senior Architect as a priority hire due to continued project pipeline growth. This is a hands-on role for someone who can contribute immediately, working across both design and delivery on predominantly UK-based projects. The practice operates at a human scale, with a strong emphasis on housing, residential, community and cultural work, alongside selective commercial projects. You’ll be joining a small, close-knit team with a flat hierarchy, where collaboration, initiative, and cultural fit are genuinely valued. There is real scope to grow with the practice and become involved in wider studio operations over time.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to projects across multiple RIBA stages
- Deliver high-quality residential and housing schemes in line with UK regulations
- Balance design thinking and technical delivery, depending on project needs
- Work closely with directors and senior team members in a collaborative setting
- Support sustainable, retrofit, and heritage-led approaches where applicable
- Contribute ideas, initiative, and leadership within a small studio environment
Qualifications
- ARB-registered Architect
- Strong UK residential / housing experience (essential)
- Well-rounded skillset across design and delivery stages
- Interest or experience in sustainability, retrofit, or heritage is highly desirable
- Recent proficiency in Archicad is strongly preferred
- Candidates must be comfortable using Archicad day-to-day
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up
Working Environment
- Hybrid working from day one
- Office-based: Tuesday–Thursday
- WFH: Monday & Friday (subject to project needs)
