Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Basildon, Essex (Field-based travel across Essex & London)
Team Size: 8-person Infrastructure Squad | Part of a 30+ Technical Hub
The Mission
Are you a Senior Engineer who lives for the Build? We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who prefers the front lines of project delivery over the monotony of basic maintenance. This is a senior, technical delivery role where you aren’t just another cog in the machine. You will be the technical authority on-site, taking ownership of enterprise-level projects from the initial design phase through to implementation and final handover.

- The Support: You’re joining a heavy‑hitting 8‑person Infrastructure team, backed by a 20‑strong Helpdesk and a dedicated 5‑man Security department.
- The Travel: While your home base is Basildon, you’ll be out at client sites across Essex & London.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the Charge: Act as the technical lead on diverse customer projects, spanning compute, storage, networking, and virtualization.
- Platform Innovation: Drive internal platform improvements and lifecycle upgrades to keep the firm at the cutting edge.
- Expert Consulting: Work directly with stakeholders to define project scope, manage technical risks, and ensure solutions are production‑ready.
- Hands‑on Engineering: From rack‑and‑stack in the Data Centre to complex virtualization deployments, remain 100% hands‑on.
Your Technical Toolkit
- Proven Experience: You’ve cut your teeth in an MSP or Data Centre environment.
- The Core: Deep technical knowledge of Virtualisation, Storage, and Networking.
- Project Mindset: You understand that a project isn’t finished until the documentation is perfect and the BAU team is fully briefed.
- Communication: Translate complex tech into business value for clients.
