We’re looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our IT team at ellenor, an organisation where technology directly supports compassionate care across our hospice services and retail shops.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Reporting to the IT Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our IT operations leading the day‑to‑day triage of Level 1 and 2 issues, ensuring swift resolutions, and managing escalations to third‑party partners when needed.
- You’ll work closely with our IT Managed Service Provider and other vendors to maintain a secure, resilient, and high‑performing IT infrastructure that supports staff, patients, and volunteers across all ellenor locations, including our retail shops.
- No two days are the same, and your input will directly enhance the reliability and effectiveness of technology supporting vital hospice care.
You’ll play a key part in:
- Driving service quality through vendor and technical account meetings
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
- Researching and advising on technology solutions aligned with our IT strategy
- Strengthening systems, security, and performance across the organisation.

Your expertise will include:
- Physical and virtualised Microsoft server and desktop environments.
- Network infrastructure, firewalls, and ISP/data communications.
- Cloud and on‑premises backup solutions.
- Security and endpoint device management.
- Telephony (office and mobile), tablets, and MFDs.
- Asset inventory and lifecycle management.
- Audit reporting and data governance.
- Clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
