The Role
TIEVA Associate Wireless & Network Engineer supports the delivery of enterprise wireless and secure networking solutions for our customers. This role is suited to an engineer who already has practical, field‑based experience and is looking to develop into a rounded consultant within a professional services environment. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior consultants and architects, contributing to customer engagements across design, implementation, and handover into managed service operations.
Responsibilities
- Increase revenue by delivering customer outcomes through the design and provision of Tieva Secure Networks offerings.
- Install, maintain and support customer enterprise networks in line with the customer’s business requirements.
- Attend customer sites to deliver projects.
- Hunt for new knowledge and share with the team for continuous self‑education and development.
- Work on projects through the design, staging, installing, documenting and customer handover based on customer requirements, design templates and best practices.
- Be driven and motivated to learn and test new technologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience performing wireless site surveys using Ekahau survey equipment, including predictive, active, and post‑deployment validation surveys, preferably with Ekahau or equivalent certifications.
- Familiar with interpreting RF survey data and translating findings into practical design and remediation recommendations.
- Hands‑on experience with HPE Aruba wireless infrastructure is essential, including access point deployment, controller or cloud‑managed configuration, basic troubleshooting, and supporting optimisation activities.
- Certifications required – ACP– Campus Access Professional, ACP–Switch Professional.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, routing, switching, security and all things networking to an associate level and able to maintain, configure and troubleshoot networks.
- Strong documentation discipline, the ability to follow standard design templates and build standards, effective communication with customers during on‑site and remote engagements.
- The capability to execute clearly defined tasks within larger project deliveries while escalating risks or design concerns appropriately.
- Comfortable with frequent travel to customer locations for wireless surveys, troubleshooting and installation.
- Experience with other network vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco and Meraki is preferable.
- Self‑motivated and able to work unsupervised, on own initiative.
