Estates & Asset Manager
Location: Cumbria Salary: Competitive Package Available | Full-time · Permanent
The Role
We're seeking a hands‑on Estates & Asset Manager to take ownership of a mixed portfolio of residential, retail and distribution assets — working directly with the Owner/Investor and Group Finance Director. A practical, delivery‑focused role where you'll bring structure, drive disposals and resolve legacy issues with pace and precision.
What You'll Be Doing
- Mapping the full estate — properties, ownership structures and key data
- Building and maintaining a clear portfolio management system
- Identifying underperforming assets and managing end‑to‑end disposals
- Resolving compliance, tenancy and condition issues
- Providing hold/sell/improve recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Supporting financial decision‑making alongside the Finance Director
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in property, estates or asset management
- Background in disposals and portfolio rationalisation
- Highly organised — able to bring structure to complex portfolios
- Hands‑on, proactive and confident working independently
- Comfortable engaging directly with owners and senior leadership
- MRICS qualified surveyor — desirable, with landlord side experience
