Portfolio Account Manager (I&C) - Elite
Reports to: Senior Commercial Manager
Location: Leicester LE3
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week (Hybrid considered)

As a Portfolio Account Manager within the Elite stream for the I&C (Industrial & Commercial) division, you will take ownership of a portfolio of high‑value, complex accounts. This role focuses on strategic account leadership, commercial optimisation, and delivering long‑term value through exceptional partner management. You will navigate complex tender processes, make informed and strategic pricing decisions, and leverage strong sales acumen to drive financial growth. Through effective key account management, you will maximise contract renewals, identify upsell opportunities, and strengthen long‑term partner relationships. You will bring experience in building trust‑based relationships and a proven track record of enhancing client satisfaction and retention within the business utility sector.
You will support partners’ ongoing performance, build strong networks within each organisation, and create additional value through regular engagement, support, and collaboration. From the moment a prospect agrees to become a Yü customer, you will manage the end‑to‑end interaction throughout their lifecycle, focusing on onboarding performance, billing, revenue management and cash management performance, and Smart Install bookings.
What We Need From Yü

- Accountable for managing Business Account customers, including onboarding, billing, revenue management performance, and cash management performance.
- Strengthen day‑to‑day client relationships through exceptional client service, in‑depth knowledge of the client’s industry and business, and impeccable delivery and client engagement.
- Develop and manage key strategic relationships across key clients and stakeholders to drive successful engagement programmes.
- Ensure risks and opportunities are fully understood and communicated, identifying the best ways of mitigating key risks and maximizing key opportunities.
- Support department‑wide development initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance knowledge of the energy industry.
- Monitor competitive activity within the assigned customers, being alert to any opportunities and threats.
- Analyse client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑department teams to ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports and updates to line management and other stakeholders.
- Manage and support projects from end to end.
- Develop key relationships across the organisation and with third parties.
- Train new starters on processes and policies.
- Seek improvements in working processes and practices.
- Confidently promote effective communication within the wider team and across departments.
About Yü
Proven experience managing complex, high‑value accounts within the I&C or business energy sector.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to make strategic pricing and negotiation decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and winning complex tender processes.
- Track record of driving revenue growth through renewals, retention, and upselling.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, particularly in complex commercial scenarios.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with delivery and execution.
